Gorillaz's Damon Albarn Launches "Make Doherty History" Campaign!

‘’Gorillaz’s Damon Albarn Launches ‘’Make Pete Doherty History’’ Campaign’’

In news of the really weird…Gorillaz’s frontman Damon Albarn, who says that he was thoroughly ‘’disgusted’’ with Pete Doherty’s drugged out ‘’performance’’ at Live 8, which admittedly, a LOT of people also had a field day with, is starting his own, ‘’Make Doherty History’’ campaign.

Actually, we saw Pete’s embarrassing, chemically influenced attempt at a duet with Sir Elton John on T. Rex’s ‘’Children Of The Revolution’’ at Live 8. We felt like starting our own revolution to ban Doherty from defiling any stage ever again after that whack job’s debacle, but you just can’t get rid of Doherty. He’s like a cockroach. Since then he’s been the press’s poster boy for bad behavior, failing to show up with his band Babyshambles at gigs opening for Oasis (for which his services were terminated by the Gallagher Brothers), headbutting and beating the crap out of Razorlight’s Johnny Borrell at the Carling Leeds/Reading Festivals and making the cover of the U.K’s tabloids hoovering cocaine with bad girl and partner in crime, Kate Moss.

Uh, Damon, where’s that petition? Just let me get my pen!
