The October 21, 2005 issue of ‘’Entertainment Weekly Magazine’’ reports that George Lucas, already hyped about the November 1, 2005 release of ‘’Star Wars Episode 3: Revenge Of The Sith’’ on DVD, has TWO ‘’Star Wars’’ TV series in the works.

One program will be a CGI animated series that takes place during the Clone Wars which will showcase familiar characters as well as introduce new characters from the iconic franchise. ‘’Star Wars Episode 3: Revenge Of The Sith’’, Animation Director, Rob Coleman is said to be on board for the project.

A second live action series is tapped to premiere in early 2007. Prequel Trilogy Producer Rick McCallum says it will be a much ‘’darker and edgier’’ series, which will span the time period after ‘’Sith’’ took place, and before 1977’s ‘’Star Wars Episode 4: A New Hope’’. It will be filmed in high definition, in exotic, on location locales around the globe (as all 6 of the ‘’Star Wars’’ motion pictures were), and of course, feature the computer wizardry imaging which the legendary film franchise is renowned for.

No expense will be spared, and Lucas’s own production company, LucasFilm, who will absorb the production costs, while selling the distribution rights, are said to be shelling out some $1.8 million in production costs per episode. While no television network has secured the rights to broadcast either series as yet, rest assured that both series WILL be available on DVD.

As an added incentive and enticement to fans, ‘’Sith’’ star, Hayden Christensen is already putting the word out that he is more than up for a cameo appearance, though he says, ‘’Aside from that, I don’t know how I can really come back. The series is supposed to take place between the 2 trilogies, and I’m in a big black suit. Does he (Lucas) want me to show up and act behind a mask?’’

You really want to know Hayden? YES! We don’t care if you’re stuck in that Satanic, monolithic costume. You make a better man in black than Johnny Cash!

How very Goth! You put the rock, in rock and roll, the originator, the pioneer. Mr. Rock God!

Besides, the costume couldn’t possibly be any more stilted than the dialogue George wrote for you in Episodes 2 and 3. Just put on the mask and ACT!!!! We think you make an AWESOME Darth Vader (aka Anakin Skywalker), and we’d love to get to know what truly drives, motivates, and makes Vader tick, once he is ‘’created’’ by Darth Sidious’s team of android doctors at the end of ‘’Revenge Of The Sith’’.

This is your chance to really glow and shine, allowing ‘’Star Wars’’ fans everywhere an intense, deep exploration into the man behind the mask and his complete psychological and paranormal transformation, along with Vader’s tutelage and mastery of his new found ‘’dark side’’ powers leading up to ‘’Episode 4: A New Hope’’, after his initial entombment forever in black metal and garb, more machine than man. Go for it Hayden!
