As we reported and predicted right here on January 6, 2006, ‘’The O.C.’’ already received a major jump start in January, when it moved back to its original ratings boosting 9:00 pm time slot on Thursday nights starting last Thursday, January 12, 2006 on the Fox Television Network.

And to really spice things up, an old (but very rarely seen) familiar face comes back to literally wreak havoc on Newport.

On tonight’s Thursday, January 19, 2006 episode of “The O.C.”, Kaitlin Cooper-Nichol, the little sister of Marissa Cooper-Nichol, often referred to by name, but who has become the fodder of much satirical wise cracks by fans and critics of ‘’The O.C.’’ alike for her mysterious ability to be spoken of by the other characters on the show, but who is never seen (she was supposedly shipped off to boarding school), is returning.

Newcomer, actress, Willa Holland will put the “B” with a capital, right into the “itch” she imposes on all who become her road kill as Kaitlin takes gleeful pleasure in steamrolling right over the denizens of Newport Beach.

As the saying goes, ‘’you’re not a kid anymore’’ and wait until you see Kaitlin now, shocking and tearing up the folks in good old high society, socially etiquette refined Newport (yeah right!, more like the gossip, rumble, and mud slinging capital of the world!), as a sexy teen vixen, bent on hell raising Cain and terrorizing Marissa, all while turning up the heat on the men of Newport.

In the promos currently airing for the upcoming episodes for this Spring 2006, of Season Three, we finally get to see, the once, innocent, child, Kaitlin, all grown up and ready to rock as Newport’s ascender to the throne of bad girl, heir apparent to Queen Bitch, Julie Cooper-Nichol, (Kaitlin’s dear old mom), as ‘’sweet little’’ Kaitlin icily, steely, brazenly, yet seductively coos to the camera,

‘’I’ve been away, forgotten, ignored, and….left behind. But now, I’m making up for lost time. I won’t be ignored again…. Let’s just say, this town hasn’t seen anything yet. It’s time for me to get mine.’’

Or as Fox announces in referring to her majesty, long live the new and reigning Empress of Evil, Kaitlin Cooper, ‘’Trouble Comes Home!’’

Of course, with ‘’The O.C.’’ being our favorite show and our ultimate guilty pleasure, we welcome Kaitlin’s wrath. Just so long as ‘’O.C.’’ creator Josh Schwartz knows just how much of this character we can take and then sends her packing, back off to never, never land, to well, never be seen of or heard from again.

Remember through three seasons, we have had a revolving introduction of non core, guest characters, some cool, some major duds, but unfortunately, some of them exhausted their welcome, often spending way too much time, taking yummy time away from the central, core characters that we know and love, who make the show so delicious, being, Ryan, Seth, Marissa, Summer, Sandy and Kirsten, Julie and Jimmy.

Please…no more long, drawn out, overdue, hiccupping story arcs like the dreaded OLIVER!!!!, or D.J., or Lindsay! Groan.

Bring Kaitlin in, let her kick some major ass, then haul her out, just like Ryan’s jerk ass no good brother, Trey. Season Two’s bravado timing in its development and riddance of Trey worked out perfectly.

And just in case you missed what we said, Josh…when developing Kaitlin….remember NOT that ‘’the force will always be with you’’, like in ‘’Star Wars’’, but that OLIVER will always be with you. An insideous ghost that will haunt you and us through all ‘’the days of our lives’’. Whoops, that’s another TV soap!

Like we said Josh, food for thought.

Kaitlin, we look forward to your she devil ways!
