Sir Ian McKellen, of course we all know and love, for his magnificent portrayals of both the beloved wizard, Gandalf in “The Lord Of The Rings” film trilogy and as the Uber villain, Magneto in the “X-Men” film trilogy, (as well as a lifetime legendary body of award winning work on stage, screen, and TV!)

Alfred Molina, we all adore for his gleefully wicked, over the top, portrayal of twisted Super Villain, Doc Oc (Octopus) in “Spider-Man 2”, (as well as his inimitable work in a lengthy list of critically acclaimed films).

You also may remember Molina for one of his first roles ever, WAY back in 1981, in “Raiders Of The Lost Ark”, as the scoundrel who meets an untimely death after trying to steal a priceless, ancient, exotic relic from actor, Harrison Ford’s infamous character, Indiana Jones!

Jean Reno, began his career achieving worldwide critical and commercial acclaim for his roles in the Indie flicks of Director Luc Besson, in such cult fan hit films as “La Femme Nikita” and of course for Reno’s career defining, brilliant portrayal of Leon, the hit man who finds redemption, in Besson’s “The Professional”, (one of OUR favorite films!), then graduated to such box office gorillas as, “Mission Impossible”, “Godzilla”, and “Ronin”!

A refresher course of “The Da Vinci Code’s” plot, according to the Official Website, “begins with a spectacular murder in (Paris, France’s) Louvre Museum. All clues point to a covert religious organization that will stop at nothing to protect a secret that threatens to overturn 2,000 years of accepted (religious) dogma.”

Hanks plays symbologist, Robert Langdon, who along with actress, Audrey Tautou’s character, cryptographer, Sophie Neveu, are brought on board by the police to help unravel and solve the murder.

But instead, Langdon and Neveu find themselves caught up in serious danger as they learn that the murder is directly linked to the Priory Of Sion, a secret religious organization which began with the death of Christ, and the secret Catholic organization Opus Dei…leading the two crime fighters to an abundment of religious revelations and cover ups regarding Jesus’ relationship with Mary Magdalene, the location of the Holy Grail, and more! The 2 organizations hunt down Langdon and Neveu to ensure that the world never discovers the truth behind a host of religious secrets spanning two millenniums.

WOW! Talk about mysteries, intrigue, cloak and dagger seat of your pants excitement galore, all wrapped up in this sure to be blockbuster, thriller!

Though fans, and we, are more than intrigued to see how closely the film will follow author, Dan Brown’s best selling incredibly clever, intelligent, thought provoking book, with a cast like this and lauded Director, Ron Howard manning the helm, “The Da Vinci Code” will undoubtedly prove a sure fire, stellar hit!
