Zap2it.com reports that ‘’Harry Potter’’ wizardress and author, J.K. Rowling, has announced on her official website, that 2006 will be the year that she pens the seventh, last installment and finale to the beloved ‘’Harry Potter’’ novels and characters.

Rowling has set up graphics and music on her website in keeping with the holiday season. Upon clicking on a gift wrapped Christmas package, there is news from Rowling herself that, ‘’2006 will be the year I write the final book in the Harry Potter series….I have been fine-tuning the fine-tuned plan of seven during the past few weeks, so that I can really set to work in January.’’

Rowling, obviously sees both the ending to a beloved chapter in her own career and life, but the promise of new creative endeavors in store for her as well, going on to say, ‘’I contemplate the task with mixed feelings of excitement and dread, because I can’t wait to get started to tell the final part of the story. And, at last, to answer all the questions, (will I ever answer all of the questions? Let’s aim for most of the questions); and yet it will be over at last and I can’t quite imagine life without Harry.’’

Rowling is remaining quite secretive about any details of the forthcoming conclusion to the saga of ‘’Harry Potter’’ with the exception of noting that the word scar, in reference to the very scar Harry received at the hands of Lord Voldemort will be a part of the finale and that the book will not be titled ‘’Harry Potter And The Pyramids Of Furmat’’.

We advise ‘’Harry Potter’’ fans far and wide to stay tuned to Rowling’s website, for only from the official pen of the scribe herself, will we learn the final destiny that lies in store for Harry and his friends. But you can rest assure, that Rowling will leave her loyal fans equal parts thrilled and satisfied with what is at last on the horizon for her infamous child prodigy wizard.

Also rest assure that Rowling, like the characters that she has created that are so loved worldwide, who we have faithfully watched and adored as they matured and evolved, will also pursue new and thoroughly innovative, enchanting creative adventures.

We look forward to it J.K.!
