As WE first reported to you in OUR JULY 19, 2006, article, "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" will be resurrected in her own NEW comic book series, WRITTEN BY "Buffy" TV series creator, writer, director, visionary, GENIUS, JOSS WHEDON!!!!

....JOSS WHEDON, has REVIVED the vamp and butt kicking female Super Hero returning her to her ORIGINAL, comic book form!!!!

....The "Buffy" comic book series, whose debut issue was originally unveiled at COMIC-CON this past July 2006, Scifi.com, TODAY, September 22, 2006 reports the LATEST NEWS SCOOP on their website that....

...."Dark Horse Comics will publish a NEW series of "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" comics that will pick up the story of the cult TV show and act as a de facto EIGHTH SEASON, "Comics Contiuum" reported."

...."The new "Buffy" (Comic Book) Series is targeted for a March (2007) launch and the FIRST story arc will be a FOUR PART SERIES that will chronicle events after the "Buffy" television series finale, which aired in 2003. "Buffy" creator Joss Whedon will write, with art by Georges Jeanty."

According to ew.com, the INSIDE SCOOP on the STORYLINE thus far, is that the army of Slayers that were put together when the TV "Buffy" series ended its run, are NOW organized, strategized, with good prevailing over evil, and READY to ROCK!!!!

BUT, in the "Buffy" Universe, YOU know, it won't be long before some toothsome vamp, demon, or other nasty spawn from the undead underworld makes their unwelcome presence known, forcing the Slayers to whip into high gear, vamp slaying ACTION!!!!

WE are THRILLED about this news, but we ask that Joss PLEASE revive SPIKE and ANGEL as well, in the comic book series, along with ALL of the great ensemble "Buffyverse" characters that made "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" so fiercely AWESOME!
