Just a little over a year since Hurricane Katrina devastated the homes and livelihoods, but not the hearts and spirit of the people of New Orleans, the city was alive with joy last night, celebrating both the grand reopening of the Louisiana Superdome and a triumphant 23-2 victory win for their hometown football team, the Louisiana Saints, over the Atlanta Falcons!
....Championing the festive occasion, a sold out crowd filled the new and improved beloved sports stadium which also welcomed a host of glittering stars and celebrities, including....
....GREEN DAY and U2, who, after much fanfare regarding their current musical dream team stint recording a song duet in the studio together, benefiting the hurricane relief effort, had the already cheering crowd rising to the occasion with their gala, celebratory performance!
....The 2 super group bands, always ready to step up to the plate on behalf of social activism and causes, (both rock groups performed at last year's global benefit concert, Live 8!), performed their reworking and cover of "The Saints Are Coming", the classic 1978 song by Scottish punk band, The Skids!!!!
The bands were joined onstage by a New Orleans brass band with arrangements orchestrated by Pink Floyd Producer, Bob Ezrin!
....GREEN DAY opened the show with their elegiac hit, "Wake Me Up When September Ends"!....
....U2 took and carried the baton by performing the majestic and uplifting "Beautiful Day", which they also performed at Live 8 and which could not have been more befitting the day!....
The world's 2 biggest bands ROCKED all of New Orleans with their live musical performance together effervescing both their and the crowd's rousing enthusiasm, honoring and uplifting, in the spirit of the day as confetti fell upon and covered the fans and Superdome!
The 2 bands have already been enjoying collaborating together and recording "The Saints Are Coming" for U2's guitarist, The Edge's, Music Rising, a charity established to "provide replacement instruments to more than 2,000 musicians who lost theirs in the flooding."
The Goo Goo Dolls also joined in and performed at the rockin' party, as well as Director Spike Lee, and New Orleans natives and musical gems, Harry Connick, Jr. and Branford Marsalis, who all attended the momentous celebration.

Just when you thought the competition for the title role of Joss Whedon's "Wonder Woman" feature motion picture couldn't get any bigger, it actually is getting a little more well, BIZARRE!
"Entertainment Weekly Magazine's" Official Website, ew.com, reports in an INTERVIEW with "American Idol" fifth season runner-up Katherine McPhee, that McPhee is actually up for the title role, (though PAY ATTENTION to McPhee's not so good attempt at a white lie saying that taking the role, "would be a huge mistake".)
Yeah, you got THAT RIGHT! MORE than a huge mistake. To us, casting McPhee, as the legendary super hero would be more like the end of the world!
But, like we believe that huge corker from McPhee! YOU be the judge!

Ew.com: "One of the more interesting things I've read is that your name is being bandied about to play "Wonder Woman" in Joss Whedon's big screen adaptation. Can you discuss?"
Katherine McPhee: "I just laugh about it. I mean, I'm not gonna deny it or admit to it. But it's funny, because no one has even received this so-called "Wonder Woman" script. It's like there's so much buzz created around a script that isn't even in the hands of any actresses yet. And that's all I'll really say. Yes, there have been, you know, like, conversations about it, but as far as the role being mine, or me being the lead up for it, I don't really know. I don't know what goes on behind the scenes in terms of producers and directors getting together to talk about a potential film. As far as I'm concerned, I don't even know if (a) "Wonder Woman" (movie) is going to happen for sure. I mean, I don't know who's financing it. So it's very flattering. And I think it's interesting how I've somehow wound up in the media again. My manager makes fun of me; he says, "You're just my little press hound, aren't you." (laughs)"
Ew.com: "Well it's got to be a little flattering to be mentioned for such an iconic role."
Katherine McPhee: "I will say, I do hear some things my fans are concerned about - they're very protective, my fans....As far as them being concerned about "Wonder Woman" being my first movie, I think it would be a huge mistake to tackle a role like that for my debut. I really want to make smart choices, and I don't think that would be a smart choice. A lot of times, regardless of whether you're a blockbuster actress, those kind of movies fail. So it wouldn't be very smart for a girl off a reality television show to take a film like that for her first motion picture. I keep those things in mind. I'm really business-savvy."
....Whatever! Look "American Idol" is practically the number one show and phenomenon in America. We think it's cool and all that.
....But while we know McPhee is just intentionally playing things down, being mum, waiting to see if "Wonder Woman", Joss Whedon, and comics fans ignite a firestorm like wage of panic throughout the free world and the internet over their concern about a karaoke, 2nd place talent competition singer at that, possibly filling such, as, Ew.com said, ICONIC shoes....
....You can bet your bottom dollar that if the film making powers that be, actually offered McPhee the role, (HEAVEN FORBID!), she would obviously take it.

Moviehole.net reports that they received an OFFICIAL press release from the PR organization that represents starlet, formerly of NBC's hit daytime soap, "Days Of Our Lives" actress, Nadia Bjorlin, CONFIRMING that the luscious actress (aka Chloe Lane from 1999-2005 on "Days Of Our Lives"!), is in fact, ALSO a contender up for the role of the superhero herself, "Wonder Woman"!!!!

As a diehard "O.C." fan, having actually seen Bilson don the "Wonder Woman" costume in an episode of "The O.C.", and having heard the MAJOR BUZZ flying from critics about her sterling performance in the NEW motion picture, "The Last Kiss", co-starring opposite "Scrubbs" actor, Zach Braff, well, we have to think about it, but, yes, you never know, Bilson might be able to fill those DC Comics, Legendary, Defender Of Justice, Boots!

....JOSH plays new young stud and YES, like his character, Brett, from "Step Up", another pain in the you know what, on Wisteria Lane, bad boy, Austin, who will be steaming things up now that actor, Jesse Metcalfe's hunky gardener has left the show!!!!....
....The NEW, September 15, 2006 issue of "Entertainment Weekly Magazine" devotes their COVER STORY to "Desperate Housewives" and they chat in an INTERVIEW with JOSH about his NEW ROLE on page 33 in the article, "There's Nothing Desperate About These Housewives - Who's New On Wisteria Lane?"!!!!....

The delicious Pussycat Dolls also received the award for Best Dance Video for "Buttons", featuring guest, Snoop Dog.
Beyonce scored an honor for Best R&B Video for "Check On It" from "The Pink Panther" movie featuring guest artists Slim Thug and Bun B.
